Arrest of suspect in buying and selling "American weed" in the highlands of Quang Nam

    On October 23, the police of the mountainous district of Bac Tra My, Quang Nam, announced that they had arrested a suspect for buying and selling "American weed" drugs in the area.

    The defendant who was prosecuted and temporarily detained is Nguyen Thanh T. (born in 1987, in Tra Giang commune, Bac Tra My), after selling 2 plastic bags containing "American weed" drugs to addicts.

    Previously, through the investigation, Bac Tra My District Police coordinated with Tra My Town Police to discover that Nguyen Thanh T. sold 2 plastic bags suspected of containing drugs to B.D.T. (born 2003, village 3, Tra Giang commune) at T.'s house.

    During the search, the task force seized 3 plastic bags that T. confessed were "American weed" drugs bought to sell to B.D.T. and himself for use.

    The incident is under further investigation.
