On March 15, the Investigation Police Agency of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province Police issued a decision to prosecute and temporarily detain Bui Chi Binh (28 years old, temporarily residing in Vung Tau City) to investigate the act of "Robbery".
According to initial information, at around 5:00 p.m. on March 14, Binh drove a motorbike to the M.K gold shop (Nhan Tien hamlet, Xuyen Moc commune, Xuyen Moc district), pretending to be asking to buy gold. The subject met Ms. M (43 years old) and asked to see 1 ring, 1 18k gold bracelet with a market price of about 48 million VND.

After soaking his hand, observing around and seeing no one, Binh suddenly ran outside and climbed onto a motorbike, accelerated and ran away. At this time, Ms. M shouted, struggled, and forced Binh to abandon the car and run away.
Hearing the screams, the two men nearby, Mr. N.M.T (40 years old) and N.T.Q (45 years old), chased and arrested the subject.
With the support of the people, the gold shop robber was quickly controlled, then handed over to the authorities with the evidence.
During the investigation, the authorities discovered that Binh had a previous conviction for "Robbery" and released him from prison in 2023. The vehicle the subject used had a fake license plate with the purpose of avoiding the investigation by the authorities.
