2 social housing projects are preparing to be implemented in Long Bien

Hanoi - In 2025, the city will implement 2 social housing projects in Long Bien.

According to the 2025 land use plan of Long Bien district that has just been approved by the Hanoi People's Committee, there are 2 social housing construction projects including Thuong Thanh social housing area with an area of over 6 hectares and social housing area in Long Bien ward with an area of 4.9 hectares.

The Thuong Thanh social housing project has a scale of 3 CT1, CT2, CT3 apartment buildings with 22 floors and 44 townhouses, invested by a joint venture of Him Lam Capital Joint Stock Company and BIC Vietnam Joint Stock Company.

Of which, BIC Vietnam built CT1 building with the commercial name Rice City Thuong Thanh with an area of over 0.5 hectares; the remaining CT2, CT3 buildings and townhouses built by Him Lam Capital have an area of nearly 5.4 hectares.

Rice City Thuong Thanh was officially licensed by the Department of Construction on November 28, 2024 to the Joint Venture of Him Lam Capital Joint Stock Company and BIC Vietnam Joint Stock Company to implement the CT1 high-rise apartment construction project under the Thuong Thanh Social Housing Project and connect regional infrastructure, Long Bien District.

BIC Vietnam said that the project is constructing foundation infrastructure, when eligible to receive documents to buy social housing, it will be announced on the website and the Department of Construction.

The city will also implement the construction of social housing at the CT land plot in the CT1 planning block of the project to build technical infrastructure for the land to auction land use rights in Long Bien ward, with an area of 4.9 hectares implemented by the Long Bien District Land Fund Development Center.

The People's Committee of Long Bien District is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and implementing the projects in the 2025 Land Use Plan. In case of arising works and projects with sufficient legal basis and implementation capability, the People's Committee of Long Bien District will synthesize and report to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to submit to the City People's Committee for approval to supplement the land use plan as a basis for implementation according to regulations.

At the same time, organize inspections of the implementation of land use plans; promptly detect and handle violations of land use plans; strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of land use plans to ensure the feasibility of the 2025 land use plan. Report the results of the implementation of the land use plan before October 15, 2025.

According to the Department of Construction, it is expected that in 2025, Hanoi will have 11 completed social housing projects, providing nearly 6,000 apartments, and continuing to start 5 projects with a scale of 10,220 apartments.

In the 2026-2030 period, according to the target assigned by the Government of 37,500 apartments, the city aims to develop 50 more social housing projects, with a total scale of about 57,200 apartments, meeting the assigned target.

In particular, Hanoi will also take the lead in establishing concentrated social housing areas with 5 areas.

The city is bidding and selecting investors for two concentrated social housing areas, Tien Duong 1 and Tien Duong 2, located in Dong Anh district, with the land use scale of the two projects being 84 hectares, expected to provide about 6,500 social housing apartments in the coming time.
