According to Lao Dong reporter's research, from the end of 2024 to now, 3 new social housing projects have continuously started construction in Dong Anh and Thanh Tri districts (Hanoi).
For example, the Thang Long Green City Social Housing Project at plot CT3 - Kim Chung New Urban Area (Dong Anh District) has just started construction in early March 2025. This is information that is attracting the attention of many people.

The complex consists of 3 buildings with 12 floors and an attic, expected to provide more than 1,100 apartments, accommodating more than 3,900 people. The apartments have an area of 50-64 m2, with 2-3 bedrooms.
Notably, the selling price of this new social housing area is only about 18.4 million VND/m2 (including 5% VAT and 2% maintenance fee).
With the above unit price, a 49.8 m2 apartment in the project costs about 916.3 million VND/unit. The largest apartment of 64m2 costs about 1.2 billion VND. The project is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Previously, in December 2024, the social housing project at the N01 land plot - Ha Dinh new urban area (Thanh Tri district) was started.
The project has 255 apartments for sale and 110 apartments for rent. The estimated selling price is 25 million VND/m2, equivalent to 1.75 billion VND for a 70m2 apartment.

Also in December 2024, the social housing project in Uy No commune (Dong Anh district) was also started with 4 9-storey blocks of houses, providing 466 apartments for low-income people and officers and soldiers of the armed forces in Hanoi.
This is the first social housing project of a enterprise under the Ministry of National Defense - Corporation 319, expected to be completed in October 2026.
A recent report by the Ministry of Construction informed that in 2024, the whole country will only have 108 completed social housing projects, corresponding to 47,532 apartments.
Entering 2025, it is expected that 135 projects will be implemented with nearly 101,900 social housing units (an increase of 2.1 times).
Of which, in Hanoi alone, there are about 11 social housing projects that will be completed, providing nearly 6,000 apartments, equivalent to 345,000m2 of construction floor space.
Referring to this content, Mr. Duong Duc Tuan - Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee - said that the supply of social housing in the capital will be more abundant.
In 2025, the city plans to complete 8 projects with about 4,670 apartments and start construction of 6 projects with more than 10,200 apartments.
Hanoi will also approve the investment policy for 6 new projects, with a scale of 10,500 apartments to supplement the supply for the following years.
