Progress of a project worth over VND6,200 billion in the center of Hai Phong
On June 12, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho inspected the progress of the Nguyen Trai Bridge Construction and Urban Renovation Project in the surrounding area.

According to the report of the Hai Phong Traffic and Agricultural Construction Investment Project Management Board, the Nguyen Trai Bridge Construction Investment and Urban Renovation Project in the surrounding area has a total reclaimed land area of about 63.52 hectares. Of which, Ngo Quyen district has 54.47 hectares and Thuy Nguyen city has 9.05 hectares.
Up to now, Ngo Quyen district has handed over 115,885 m2 of land. However, there are still problems with 35 households using collective houses on Nguyen Trai Street (May To Ward), and 3/21 organizations have not yet handed over the entire site. Thuy Nguyen City has basically completed the site clearance work.

Bao Loc considers enforcing illegal construction on agricultural land
On June 12, the People's Committee of Bao Loc City (Lam Dong) requested an early settlement of the case related to the violating project of Mr. Nguyen Viet Xuan in the Nam Phuong 1 lake area (Ward 1).
Accordingly, the People's Committee of Bao Loc City assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to preside over and coordinate with relevant authorities and units to consider enforcement and force the implementation of remedial measures against Mr. Nguyen Viet Xuan according to regulations.

Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that on May 29, the People's Committee of Ward 1 reported the results of the implementation of the Decision forcing the implementation of remedial measures for unlicensed construction works, violating land in the Nam Phuong 1 lake area by Mr. Nguyen Viet Xuan.
Although the local government and authorities have repeatedly requested Mr. Xuan to remedy the consequences and dismantle the violating works, Mr. Xuan has not yet fully complied with regulations.

Temporary proposal for People's Committees of wards and communes granted construction permits in Ho Chi Minh City
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction has just sent a document to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee regarding the implementation of the authority to issue a Construction License and manage construction order after the arrangement of administrative units and deploying a 2-level local government organization model.
According to the Department of Construction, the construction permit issuance in Ho Chi Minh City is currently being implemented according to the 2014 Construction Law (amended and supplemented in Law No. 62/2020/QH14) and Decree No. 175/2024/ND-CP of the Government.

The People's Committee at the provincial level (HCMC) shall grant construction permits or decentralize and authorize licensing for works such as: individual houses from level II and above; works under construction investment projects with only level III and IV works located in areas with two or more district-level administrative units; works in industrial parks, export processing zones, high-tech zones, and economic zones.
The People's Committee at the district level grants licenses for individual houses and level III and IV works in the area under its management.
The People's Committee at the commune level does not have the authority to grant a construction permit according to current regulations. See more...
