Ca Mau announces a list of 20 housing projects and new urban areas calling for investment in 2026, with a total expected capital of more than 40,600 billion VND.

Many large-scale housing projects

On May 24, information from the Office of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province said that the locality is implementing a plan to invite investment in a series of key projects in 2026. In which, the field of housing development and new urban areas is identified as one of the strategic highlights.

According to the announced list, many commercial housing, social housing and resettlement projects are large-scale, with total investment capital of trillions of VND.

Notably, the project to expand Song Cu Residential Area - Resettlement Area - Zone A in Tan Xuyen ward, with a scale of more than 26ha, total investment of about 1,882 billion VND. Nam Can Residential Service Area project in Ca Mau Economic Zone, with a scale of nearly 58ha, total capital of more than 4,116 billion VND.

In addition, there is the Thoi Binh Commune Residential Area - Commercial Service Project, with a scale of more than 26ha, total capital of more than 725 billion VND; Ho Thi Ky Commune Market and Rural Housing Area with a scale of 30ha, total capital of more than 562 billion VND; Low-income housing area combined with a nursing home in An Xuyen ward with a scale of 13.7ha, total investment of 955 billion VND.

The province also called for investment in the housing project of the canal and drainage residential area on the west bank of the Cai Tau River in Khanh Lam commune, with a scale of nearly 9ha, total capital of 648 billion VND; Social housing of Hoa Trung Industrial Park in Luong The Tran commune, with a scale of more than 23ha, total capital of 1,626 billion VND; Phase 2 resettlement area of Ca Mau Economic Zone in Nam Can commune.

Towards a modern urban appearance

In the field of urban development, Ca Mau focuses on calling for projects with large land use scale and synchronous infrastructure to change the architectural and landscape appearance of the locality.

Prominent is the new urban area of Vinh Trach and Hiep Thanh wards with a scale of about 205ha, with a total estimated investment of nearly 13,000 billion VND. Nam Can service - eco-tourism urban area in Ca Mau Economic Zone in Dat Moi commune has an area of more than 169ha.

Along with that is the new urban area project east of Vo Van Kiet street in Bac Lieu ward, scale 42.34ha, total investment capital of 2,709 billion VND; New urban area in Bac Lieu ward scale 23.35ha, total investment capital of 1,494 billion VND; New urban area in Hiep Thanh ward scale 16.61ha, total investment capital of 1,070 billion VND.

In addition, the province also called for investment in the urban area southeast of Ton Duc Thang bridge in Vinh Trach ward, with a scale of 43.3ha, total investment capital of 2,770 billion VND and the urban area of the southern access road of Ton Duc Thang bridge in Vinh Trach ward, with a scale of 25.18ha, total investment capital of 1,611 billion VND.

According to the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, the locality will create favorable conditions for administrative procedures and site clearance for investors to soon implement projects, contributing to completing urban infrastructure and improving people's quality of life.

According to the Ca Mau Provincial Department of Construction, in the period 2021 - 2030, the province sets a target to complete at least 4,755 social housing units. In 2026 alone, the target for social housing development is 600 units.

In the first quarter of 2026, the whole province completed 25 social housing units and started construction of 548 new units, showing that the progress of housing development programs is being accelerated.
