According to statistics from Ca Mau province, there are 3,995 houses in the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. The priority groups for the province are policy households, people with revolutionary contributions, poor households, near-poor households, single people, disadvantaged households, and ethnic minorities.
Of which, 1,065 are for meritorious households, 1,354 are for poor households, 1,204 are for near-poor households, and 372 are for households under the national target program.
Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan affirmed that the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is a humane gesture and policy of the Party and State, therefore local Party committees and authorities must be unified in their perception and action, and set the highest determination to implement and complete the program ahead of schedule.
Each locality needs to have appropriate methods and ways of implementation, fully implementing the spirit of democracy, timeliness, openness and transparency. Maximizing the spirit of everyone contributing what they have, everyone contributing their own work, everyone contributing their own property, everyone contributing a lot, everyone contributing a little.
The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province also requested that organizations play a key role in organizing and mobilizing working days. Any household that meets the conditions should do it first and immediately.
Responding to the emulation movement to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, Mr. Ly Minh Vung - Chairman of Thoi Binh District People's Committee - said that in the immediate future, the district has received attention from the province, businesses, and philanthropists, supporting funding to build and repair houses for 50 families of meritorious people, relatives of martyrs, poor and near-poor households.
"This is of special importance, a great source of encouragement to help meritorious people, the poor and near-poor overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, and leave no one behind," Mr. Vung shared.
According to the plan of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, the province will strengthen propaganda work on the purpose, meaning and objectives of the program; promptly propose to commend and reward collectives and individuals who actively participate in support; commend households with strong will and self-reliance.
In addition, strengthen inspection and supervision of the mobilization, management and use of funds for the poor, gratitude funds and ensure implementation of policies to each subject receiving housing support; avoid loss and negativity, ensure that poor and near-poor households have quality housing according to regulations.
To effectively implement the policy of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, Ca Mau province has mobilized all resources and the entire political system to participate in the implementation.
According to the Plan, Ca Mau province plans to spend 181.2 billion VND to build 3,995 houses, mobilized from various sources such as the state budget, gratitude fund, fund for the poor and other legal sources.
Mr. Nguyen Van Khoi, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province, said: All levels, sectors and localities urgently complete the conditions to soon disburse this capital source, serving the construction and repair of houses for the subjects before the Lunar New Year At Ty 2025, helping people have a new house to enjoy Spring and welcome a warmer Tet.
