On July 29, at the 19th session of the Da Nang City People's Council (HĐND) term X, 2021-2026, Mr. Le Hong Cuong, a representative of the Da Nang City People's Council, stated that the technical infrastructure project of Cam Le Industrial Cluster has basically been completed. Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade has received 99 applications for businesses to operate in the industrial cluster.
However, this industrial cluster still faces some difficulties, such as the delayed start of the "Infrastructure Connection and Drainage of Cam Le Industrial Cluster" project.
Additionally, the legal procedures are complex, lengthy, and time-consuming. It is expected that by the third quarter of 2025, the industrial cluster will complete the inspection and acceptance of the project.
"Businesses will have to wait until the end of 2025 to be able to lease land in the Cam Le industrial cluster and invest in building factory facilities, which are expected to be operational by the third quarter of 2026,” Mr. Le Hong Cuong discussed at the session.
Regarding this issue, Ms. Le Thi Kim Phuong, Director of the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade, stated that according to regulations, to complete all projects and procedures, the Cam Le industrial cluster will not be operational until the third quarter of 2026.
However, the Da Nang City People's Committee has directed departments and sectors to complete the procedures early to bring the industrial cluster into operation by simultaneously implementing the procedures.
Among them, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment will temporarily calculate the land rental price for the Cam Le Industrial Cluster.
The Department of Industry and Trade will implement the selection and scoring of business organizations registering into the industrial cluster.
It is expected that by the third quarter of 2024, the list of businesses investing in the Cam Le Industrial Cluster will be submitted to the Da Nang City People's Committee for approval.
"The Department of Industry and Trade will coordinate with the Cam Le District People's Committee and the Department of Construction to temporarily hand over the site to businesses to carry out detailed planning 1/500 and factory design, and when they receive the land, businesses will only need to carry out the procedures for construction permits and investment in construction.
If departments, sectors, and localities accelerate the simultaneous implementation of procedures, the time to bring the Cam Le Industrial Cluster into operation will be shortened by 3-6 months. If there are no obstacles, the Cam Le Industrial Cluster will officially be operational in the first or second quarter of 2026," Ms. Le Thi Kim Phuong discussed at the session.
