The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Finance has just submitted a document to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on adjusting and updating the plan to arrange facilities for units in the area.
In particular, based on the request of the units and the need to serve medical and educational purposes, it is very necessary for the Department of Finance to propose a plan to arrange the headquarters of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Administrative - Political Center (including 2 land plots with a total area of over 17.6 hectares) for Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, to serve as an educational and training facility and the operating facility of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital.
According to the Department of Finance, this option promotes the effectiveness of real estate management and use, because it focuses on the management, use and operation of the unit... at the same time, convenient for both training and practicing medical staff.
The real estate facility at 22 Le Loi (Vung Tau ward) is the old Le Loi Hospital, with an area of nearly 16,000m2 that is vacant, managed by the Land Fund Development Center, proposed to be arranged as a branch of Thong Nhat Hospital.
The Department of Finance also plans to arrange a centralized working headquarters for Ho Chi Minh City's agencies and units in the working headquarters area of the National Assembly Delegation and the People's Council of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province (179A Bach Dang, Ba Ria ward)
Previously, Thong Nhat Hospital had conducted a field survey and issued a document requesting to accept the facility at 22 Le Loi to build a specialized recovery center, provide nutritional care, and restore functions for the elderly and senior staff.
Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy has surveyed and issued a document requesting to receive the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Administrative - Political Center. This unit reported that the school lacks serious development space; facilities do not meet the learning and working needs of 16,000 students, 6,000 school officials and the health care needs of the people.
