Speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper reporters at the scene of the forced eviction, Mr. Tran Quy Hung - Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Phu City People's Committee - said that the city has reviewed and inspected the land under the management of Muong Thanh ward, where there are currently 41 households and individuals who have received illegal transfers and gifts but have not yet handed it over.
“The city has carried out propaganda and mobilization to households to dismantle, clean up, relocate assets, structures, plants, livestock and return clean land for management according to regulations. However, after many propaganda and mobilizations, only 15 households agreed to dismantle, relocate and hand over the land. The number of households that did not hand over was 26 households,” said Mr. Hung.
