According to Plan No. 299/KH-UBND issued on December 23, 2022 and Decision No. 2095/QD-UBND dated July 27, 2023 of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, the project to renovate and rebuild the old apartment building lots 6, 7, 8 has approved the criteria for selecting investors. The People's Committee of Ha Long City coordinated with the Department of Construction of Quang Ninh province to collect opinions from apartment owners on selecting investors on March 16, 2024.
To ensure planning and construction management standards, the project will adjust the number of basements from 4 to 2 to shorten the investment preparation time and limit the impact on neighboring structures. In addition, the project will add mechanical parking space and adjust part of the commercial area on floors 4, 5, 6, and 7 into resettlement apartments. This is to increase the apartment area for the owners agreed upon in the compensation plan.
The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee has agreed in principle and assigned the City People's Committee to fully absorb comments and contributions to complete the detailed planning of the project.
At the same time, it is required to choose suitable construction materials, ensuring technical standards and the ability to withstand natural disasters and climate change. Arrangement of green trees and decorative lighting systems to ensure safety and aesthetics for the area, in accordance with the project "Ha Long - City of Flowers".
Previously, residents of the old apartment building lots 6, 7, 8 had to relocate since 2016 to make way for the commercial townhouse and apartment project. However, many problems related to site clearance have slowed down the progress.
At the conference held on March 16, 2024, the People's Committee of Ha Long City organized a consultation with the owners of old apartment buildings in lots 6, 7, 8, Tran Hung Dao ward to select an investor for the project. Here, the households agreed to choose the joint venture of IGGHALONG Joint Stock Company and Toan Cau Financial Investment Consulting Joint Stock Company as the investor.
