On March 13, the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province held a meeting to review the progress of component project 5 on site clearance, resettlement and related work of the Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) expressway project.
Currently, Binh Phuoc province is urgently implementing issues related to technical infrastructure to invest in the construction of 6 resettlement areas.
Resettlement areas for people whose land has been cleared to build expressways will be built in 4 districts, towns and cities: Dong Xoai, Chon Thanh, Bu Dang and Dong Phu district. The total estimated investment for resettlement areas is nearly 4,000 billion VND.

Ms. Tran Tue Hien - Chairman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee requested localities where the project passes through to focus on mass mobilization work, creating high consensus and unity among the people. At the same time, it is recommended that departments and branches join hands to coordinate with localities to focus on solving all difficulties and problems. Timely remove bottlenecks in implementing assigned tasks.
Currently, Binh Phuoc province is stepping up to implement component project 1 of the project, complete the feasibility study report, deploy the design, select a construction contractor and procedures to be able to start construction in 2025.
The Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) expressway project is 128.8km long, with a design of 4 lanes. Of which, the section through Dak Nong province will be implemented with 27.8km, through Binh Phuoc with more than 100km. The total investment of the project is 25,500 billion VND. Of which, the central budget is 10,500 billion VND; the provincial budget is 1,200 billion VND; Dak Nong is 1,000 billion VND. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2026 and put into operation in 2027.
