After listening to a report on the implementation of a number of industrial park projects in the area, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Tien Chau stated that in 2025, the city was assigned by the Government to achieve a growth target of 12.5%, 1.56 times higher than the national average of the countries. To carry out this task, it is necessary to have the cooperation, solidarity and unanimousness of the entire political system, people and especially businesses implementing industrial parks in the city.
The Secretary of the City Party Committee suggested that investors in industrial park infrastructure projects share and join hands with the city, determined to speed up the progress of industrial park implementation to soon have land to attract production facilities.
Assigning specific progress for each project to start construction in 2025 and exploit in 2026, the Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee requested departments and branches to build progress to reach the timelines. During the implementation process, the City People's Committee Party Committee directed inspection, examination and handling according to regulations if the progress was delayed.
For industrial parks that have not yet had an investment policy, Mr. Le Tien Chau assigned the City People's Committee to direct the study of the city's industrial development needs, planning factors, land, and labor resources to direct the acceleration of projects, in which priority is given to ecological industrial projects, high-tech, and supporting industries, especially in the Southern Coastal Economic Zone.
For the Southern Coastal Economic Zone, the Secretary of the City Party Committee proposed to speed up the progress, trying to start construction by the end of 2025. The city is committed to accompanying, creating conditions, supporting, and promptly removing difficulties for investment enterprises.
Previously, the city leaders listened to a report on the implementation of industrial parks that have been approved for investment policies but have not yet been put into operation, including: Vinh Quang Industrial Park Phase 1 (Vinh Bao District); Trang Due 3 Industrial Park (An Lao District); Nomura Industrial Park Phase 2 (Hong Bang District); Nam Trang Cat Industrial Park (Hai An District). Currently, localities and investors of industrial parks are carrying out site clearance and preparing conditions to be able to start construction as planned.
