Transport infrastructure development
Transport infrastructure continues to be a top priority in the 2025 land use plan. Notably, Dong Anh district will implement 513 projects with a total area of 5,324.8 hectares, including key projects such as Ring Road 4, Tu Lien Bridge and Nhat Tan 2 Bridge. These projects are expected to not only improve transport but also promote urban development in the northern region.
In Soc Son district, 154 projects will be implemented, including upgrading provincial road 131, expanding inter-regional traffic routes, connecting Noi Bai airport with satellite urban areas. Long Bien district will implement 152 projects, including projects such as expanding Nguyen Van Cu street and building new roads and bridges to reduce traffic congestion on Chuong Duong bridge.
Chuong My district has 93 projects, notably the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 6, Ba La - Xuan Mai section, with an area of 91.52 hectares, this is a key traffic project in the western area of Hanoi. In Thuong Tin district, 223 projects focus on traffic routes connecting the southern area with the city center, including the southern axis road project.
Nam Tu Liem District, with 96 projects, will improve connectivity to major urban areas such as Vinhomes Smart City and Vinhomes Green Bay, while developing the internal road network to meet the rapid urbanization rate.
Housing and urban development
The housing sector has also received strong investment to meet the needs of the growing population. Gia Lam District leads with 131 projects, covering a total area of 714.33 hectares, including prominent urban areas such as Vinhomes Ocean Park and resettlement areas serving the relocation of residents.
Hoai Duc District, with 135 projects, focuses on building new residential areas to be ready to become a district in 2025. In particular, Kim Chung - Di Trach urban area is the highlight, with modern and synchronous planning, meeting the demand for high-quality housing.
Hoang Mai District, with 116 projects, will continue to develop large urban areas such as Gamuda Gardens, expand Linh Dam area and build more social housing projects in Dinh Cong area. Dong Anh District, in addition to transport infrastructure, also has large social housing areas such as Nguyen Khe urban area, meeting the housing needs of workers.
Environmental improvement, landscape and social security projects
In addition to infrastructure and housing, Hanoi also focuses on projects to improve the environment and quality of life. Ba Vi district has implemented 181 projects, focusing on renovating the Ba Vi - Suoi Tien tourist area, building a system of regulating lakes and pumping stations to support agricultural production.
Thach That District, with 183 projects, focuses on renovating the lake system, building parks and wastewater treatment facilities. Quoc Oai District has 126 projects, many of which improve technical infrastructure and protect the environment, aiming to build this area into a modern satellite city.
My Duc District, with 107 projects, notably the renovation of Huong Pagoda scenic spot, upgrading the road system leading to the tourist area and building pumping stations to ensure sustainable agricultural quality. Tay Ho District, with 89 projects, focuses on renovating the West Lake area and developing landscape projects, both creating tourist highlights and enhancing the real estate value of the area.
In addition, projects to build schools, hospitals and cultural centers are being implemented synchronously in districts such as Thuong Tin (223 projects) and Ung Hoa (136 projects), to ensure the quality of education and health care for the people.
