Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh commented that in recent times, Ha Nam province has actively paid attention to and effectively directed the implementation of tasks and solutions in a timely manner to remove difficulties and obstacles to promote the development of social housing projects.
According to the Deputy Minister of Construction, the groundbreaking of the construction of buildings B1 - B2 of the Dong Van Social Housing Project (Duy Tien Town, Ha Nam Province) will contribute to solving the housing needs of low-income workers and industrial park workers in the province.
Mr. Nguyen Van Sinh suggested that the People's Committee of Ha Nam province direct the Departments, branches, and local authorities to continue to pay attention and create conditions in the next steps so that the project can be implemented smoothly and as quickly as possible according to the provisions of law.
At the same time, allocate funds, organize site clearance to create clean land funds for social housing, implement procedures for selecting investors, complete the goals in the 1 million social housing apartments project and the social housing target assigned by the Prime Minister to localities.
In addition, the province needs to pay attention to directing the reduction and simplification of administrative procedures on investment in social housing construction, supporting and encouraging businesses to implement investment in the construction of social housing projects.

For the project investor, the Deputy Minister of Construction suggested that HUD prioritize resources, finance, apply new technology; enhance responsibility, and implement the project to ensure the committed progress and quality.
"After starting construction, the social housing project needs to quickly provide, publicly announce, and fully inform about the project so that people know how to register to buy, rent, and lease" - Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Sinh requested.
At the ceremony, Mr. Dau Minh Thanh - Chairman of the Board of Members of HUD - said that up to now, HUD has completed nearly 300,000m2 of social housing floors, equivalent to about 3,500 apartments.
In 2025 alone, after the Dong Van social housing project, HUD will continue to start a number of social housing projects in Hanoi such as CT-M2 social housing in Van Canh new urban area, Hoai Duc district; CT-07 social housing and CT-01+02 social housing in Thanh Lam - Dai Thinh 2 new urban area; HH1 social housing in HUD - Son Tay urban area, Son Tay town.
HUD simultaneously inaugurated and handed over the A1 - A2 buildings in Dong Van social housing area; 3 12-storey buildings A1, A2, A3 of the An Sinh, Chanh My housing project, Thu Dau Mot city, Binh Duong province.
In addition, HUD also proposed a plan to continue implementing many social housing projects in other localities across the country.
Along with that, HUD has researched, developed a plan and prepared resources to develop 17,500 new social housing apartments with a total floor area of 1,730,000 m2 to practically participate in the project of investing in the construction of at least 1 million social housing apartments for low-income people and industrial park workers in the period of 2021-2030" - Mr. Dau Minh Thanh affirmed.
Previously, also at the Dong Van social housing construction investment project, HUD invested in the construction of building A1 - A2. These two buildings will be handed over to customers in the second quarter of 2025. Estimated selling price is 11.5 million VND/m2.
