On April 1, Mr. Tran Duc Nhat, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province, said that the unit had inspected the construction area of a 7-storey building, suspected of collapsing a neighbor's house next door (No. 27 Le Thanh Tong Street, Thanh Cong Ward).
Through inspection, the authorities recorded that the land for the construction of the seven-storey structure had been dug with a depth of about 5m. This has caused the foundations of the surrounding houses to be exposed.

The seven-storey structure has been dug deeply but lacks reinforcement and safety measures. This could be the cause of the collapse of the house next to it at 29 Le Thanh Tong Street.
At the inspection, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the unit to temporarily suspend the construction of the project. Relevant parties immediately take measures to protect and reinforce the surrounding area to avoid further similar incidents.
Previously, on February 31, the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot city granted a construction permit for the above 7-storey house with a total floor area of over 2,000m2.
At around 6:30 p.m. on March 31, people discovered a house at 29 Le Thanh Tong Street (Thanh Cong Ward, Buon Ma Thuot City) suddenly tilted and collapsed.
In response to the incident, people shouted and reported it to the local authorities for coordination in the inspection.
