At the end of February, the Hanoi People's Council (HDND) unanimously approved the adjustment and supplementation of the List of land acquisition projects in 2025 in the city.
Accordingly, the list of land acquisition projects in 2025 in 8 districts, towns and cities with a total area of 772.5 hectares will be supplemented.
In Long Bien district, there is a social housing construction investment project at land lot HH4, planning block A4 of urban subdivision planning N10 in Ngoc Thuy ward. The project to invest in building social housing to sell to officials, civil servants, and employees of the Office of the President with 452 apartments is expected to be implemented in 2028.
The project was proposed by TPG Group Joint Stock Company to bid to select an investor. The land area is about 7,751m2.
According to the decision of Hanoi City, the above social housing project has a total investment capital of VND 1,087.19 billion, with a floor area of 44,114m2. This project was proposed to be implemented from 2028 and is currently carrying out investment policy decision procedures.
According to the reporter's records on March 6, this social housing construction land has the frontage of the extended Hong Tien Street - the route known as the most beautiful in Long Bien.
The project land currently has an ecological area, a restaurant and 2 lakes. Currently, this restaurant is still open to welcome guests.
The remaining area is vacant land that has not been cleared.
In the 2021-2024 period, Hanoi has completed 13 social housing projects (10 projects have been fully completed and 3 projects have been partially completed), with 11,334 apartments. According to the report of the Hanoi People's Committee, it is expected that in 2025, 9 more projects with 4,866 apartments will be completed.
Mr. Mac Dinh Minh - Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Construction - said that some groups of social housing projects are still stuck, the unit has promptly resolved them, and it is expected that in the first quarter of 2025, 3-5 projects will start construction, meeting the housing needs of the people of the capital.
In order to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles in implementing social housing projects, the Hanoi People's Committee requests units and departments to continue to effectively implement key solutions and tasks to promote decentralization, delegation of authority, reform, minimize administrative procedures, create favorable conditions for businesses to participate in investing in social housing development, and for beneficiaries to access social housing. Focus on implementing the Project "Investing in the construction of at least 1 million social housing units for low-income people and industrial park workers, period 2021 - 2030".
Recently, the Prime Minister decided to assign the target of completing social housing in 2025 and the following years until 2030, so that localities can add it to the socio-economic development target. Hanoi City is assigned to build 4,670 apartments in 2025 and build 44,866 apartments in the period of 2025 - 2030.
