Serving the North-South high-speed railway project, Dong Nai builds a 25ha resettlement area

Dong Nai - The Provincial People's Committee has approved the investment in a resettlement area in Song Nhan hamlet, Xuan Que commune with a scale of about 25ha to serve the North-South high-speed railway project.

On February 12, Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee issued a document conveying the opinion of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on the policy of approving investment in a resettlement area in Song Nhan hamlet, Xuan Que commune with a scale of about 25ha from the provincial budget to serve resettlement for the North-South high-speed railway project and projects of the province, the Central Government and projects through Xuan Duong commune, Xuan Que commune and neighboring communes.

The Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Project Management Board of Area 8 to be the unit proposing investment policies for the project when the planning conditions are met; assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and coordinate with the Provincial Land Fund Development Center and relevant localities to review and supplement the arrangement of resettlement for some households affected by the North-South high-speed railway project and resettlement areas of neighboring communes.

Previously, in December 2025, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province also issued a document requesting the People's Committees of wards and communes to review resettlement land areas in the area, prepare locations to arrange resettlement for households whose land is recovered under the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis section passing through Dong Nai province.

Initially, the Dong Nai Provincial Land Fund Development Center has compiled the number of households to be relocated and resettled, which is 346 households (data for November 2025). In Xuan Hoa commune, 100 households, Xuan Loc commune 57 households, Xuan Phu commune 70 households, Xuan Dinh commune 19 households, Hang Gon ward 12 households, Cam My commune 3 households, Xuan Duong commune 25 households, An Phuoc commune 0 households, Nhon Trach commune 60 households. Xuan Que, Long Thanh, Long Phuoc communes have not yet reported.

According to the Provincial Land Fund Development Center, if more stations are arranged, the number of resettlement areas needed will increase.

According to the plan, in 2026, Dong Nai province will invest in building 30 resettlement areas with a scale of 414.45ha, a total of 15,700 resettlement plots. In which, the Resettlement Area Project in Dau Giay commune with an area of 45.93ha, a total of 2,000 resettlement plots is expected to start construction in May 2026.
