The Hanoi People's Committee has just approved the 2025 land use plan of a series of districts, including 14 social housing projects.
Notably, in Nam Tu Liem district, there is a social housing project named Rice City To Huu on an area of nearly 1.6 hectares.
Research by Lao Dong reporters shows that the Rice City To Huu Social Housing Project (Nam Tu Liem district) has a scale of 6,616 m2, including 2 21-storey apartment buildings with 711 apartments for sale and rental, the initial expected selling price is about 19.2 million/m2.

The project includes 2 adjacent apartment buildings, providing the real estate market with 711 apartments. The apartments in the project have an area of 45 70 m2.
A recent report by the Ministry of Construction informed that in 2024, the whole country will only have 108 completed social housing projects, corresponding to 47,532 apartments. Entering 2025, it is expected that 135 projects will be implemented with nearly 101,900 social housing units (an increase of 2.1 times).
Of which, in Hanoi alone, there are about 11 social housing projects that will be completed, providing nearly 6,000 apartments, equivalent to 345,000 m2 of construction floor space.
A representative of the Hanoi Department of Construction said that 4/5 of the projects have completed the Department's preparation of investment project proposals, concentrated in Dong Anh and Gia Lam districts with a scale of more than 200 hectares of land, equivalent to about 12,300 apartments.
In fact, in the first days of 2025, many social housing projects in Hanoi announced their eligibility to sell apartments for rent after 5 years such as Phu Lam Social Housing Area (Ha Dong District), CT2A high-rise apartment complex (in Thach Ban Housing Area, Long Bien District), Ha Dinh Social Housing Area (in Ha Dinh New Urban Area, Thanh Xuan District).
