On March 10, the Office of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province said that the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee officially requested relevant agencies to review projects related to real estate in the area.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Finance and the People's Committees of districts and cities of Ca Mau and related units to continue reviewing each real estate project, urban area project, commercial housing project, social housing not using public investment capital in the province to specifically identify the shortcomings and problems in each project.

On that basis, there are solutions to completely handle difficulties and problems under their authority or report, advise and propose to competent authorities solutions to completely resolve difficulties and problems, promptly put the project into construction according to schedule, increase the supply of housing products, soon put into business, manage, exploit, use, reduce product prices, avoid wasting resources of people and businesses.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province also proposed to inspect and review housing projects under public assets in use to implement the arrangement and use of houses to ensure efficiency, the right subjects, the right purposes, avoiding loss and waste; at the same time, resolutely implement the recovery and have strict sanctions for violations in the arrangement, management and use of houses under public assets that are not suitable subjects, not qualified, or not used for the right purposes of houses; cases beyond authority, report and propose the Provincial People's Committee to consider and decide.
For houses that have been completed acceptance and put into use according to the provisions of the law on construction but have not been arranged for use or no longer need to be used, coordinate with the People's Committees of districts, Ca Mau city and related units to study relevant legal provisions to carry out the conversion of functions in accordance with regulations. After converting functions, housing must be managed, arranged, and used effectively, for the right purpose, in accordance with technical standards and regulations, complying with financial obligations, avoiding loss and waste.

The Department of Finance shall preside over and coordinate with the Department of Construction, localities and relevant units to conduct reviews of housing construction investment projects that have not been accepted and put into use but need to adjust investment goals, then study and implement the adjustment of project goals in the investment policy according to the provisions of the law on investment, for projects using public investment capital, implement according to the provisions of the law on public investment.
Regarding the use of public assets at agencies, organizations, and units - especially the use of public assets for business purposes, leasing, joint ventures, and associations - public service units must develop a project and be approved by competent authorities when doing this.
From 2018 to March 2024, the whole province of Ca Mau has 85 units using public assets for business purposes, linkages, and leases with a revenue of over 360 billion VND. Of which, revenue from leasing and business is over 334 billion VND; revenue from joint ventures and associations is over 25 billion VND.
