According to Lao Dong reporter's investigation, Hanoi People's Committee has just approved the 2025 land use plan of a series of districts.
Notably, according to the 2025 land use plan, Dong Anh district will have 7 social housing projects in Dai Mach, Mai Lam, Kim Chung, and Tien Duong communes.
For example, the social housing area for officers and soldiers of the Ministry of Public Security with a scale of 10.7 hectares; the project to build housing for low-income people at plots CT3, CT4 of the Kim Chung New Urban Area by the joint venture of Hanoi Housing Investment and Development Corporation (Handico) - Viglacera Corporation - JSC with a scale of 3.7 hectares; 2 concentrated social housing areas in Tien Duong commune with a scale of more than 44.7 hectares and 39.5 hectares; X1 social housing area with a scale of nearly 35.9 hectares; 2 social housing areas in Dai Mach commune with a scale of 94.6 hectares and 107 hectares.
Previously, in mid-December 2024, Corporation 319 - Ministry of National Defense held a groundbreaking ceremony for the social housing project in Uy No commune (Dong Anh district).
The project is built on a land area of 15,286m2 (more than 1.5ha) with a total construction area of 6,880m2. The scale includes 4 blocks of 9-storey buildings (total construction floor area of all 4 blocks is about more than 61,000m2, construction density 45%), total project investment is more than 600 billion VND.
Upon completion, the project will provide a total of 466 apartments ranging from 40-77m2 to the market, with the project expected to be completed on October 30, 2026.
A recent report from the Ministry of Construction reported that in 2024, only 108 social housing projects nationwide will be completed, equivalent to 47,532 apartments. By 2025, it is expected that 135 projects will be implemented with nearly 101,900 social housing units (an increase of 2.1 times).
Of which, in Hanoi alone, about 11 social housing projects will be completed, providing nearly 6,000 apartments, equivalent to 345,000 m2 of construction floor space.
A representative of the Hanoi Department of Construction said that 4/5 projects for which the Department has completed investment project proposal documents are concentrated in the two districts of Dong Anh and Gia Lam with a scale of more than 200 hectares of land, equivalent to about 12,300 apartments.
In fact, in the early days of 2025, many social housing projects in Hanoi announced that they were eligible to sell apartments for rent after 5 years, such as Phu Lam Social Housing Area (Ha Dong District), CT2A High-rise Apartment Building (in Thach Ban Residential Area, Long Bien District), Ha Dinh Social Housing Area (in Ha Dinh New Urban Area, Thanh Xuan District).
