On June 9, the People's Committee of Tay Nha Trang Ward said that it had issued a notice of land acquisition to implement the Phu Kieng Bridge Project with a total expected area of about 39,095m2.
According to the People's Committee of Tay Nha Trang ward, the project is expected to affect about 94 cases of land acquisition. Land acquisition is carried out for national defense and security purposes; socio-economic development for national and public interests.
The project compensation, support and resettlement council was established, in which the Project Management Board and Land Fund Development Board of Nam Nha Trang ward is the focal point for implementation.
The Phu Kieng bridge project is invested by the Provincial Development Project Management Board. The project has a length of 271.2m, of which the main bridge section is about 200m long.
According to the design, the bridge is 21m wide; the approach bridge part is 18m wide with 4 spans of reinforced concrete girders. The main bridge part includes 2 spans with self-anchored suspension ropes, using reinforced concrete box girders.
The intersections at both ends of the northern (Hon Nghe village) and southern (Luong Dinh Cua street) bridges are designed to ensure traffic safety, drainage capacity and synchronous connection with the existing road system.
The total investment of the Phu Kieng bridge project is about 600 billion VND.
Currently, thousands of people in Xuan Ngoc, Hon Nghe 1 and Hon Nghe 2 residential groups (Tay Nha Trang ward) still have to travel across Phu Kieng wooden bridge, posing a potential safety risk, especially during the rainy and flood season.
When completed, the Phu Kieng bridge made of solid concrete will contribute to completing the traffic network according to the plan, improving transport capacity, and connecting traffic on both banks of the Cai River.
The project creates momentum to expand the urban space of Tay Nha Trang ward and promote the development of infrastructure projects in the area.
