On August 9, the Management Board of Sông Cầu Industrial Cluster (Khánh Vĩnh District) announced that in the third and fourth quarters of 2024, the cluster will invest in constructing projects such as Warehouse 1 (3,600m²), Warehouse 2 (1,500m²); a petrol station; a conference hall with a capacity of 1,000 seats and a fire prevention and fighting system for the projects.
The cluster aims to attract more new secondary investors by the end of 2024 and achieve a fill rate of over 80%. By 2025, the Management Board of Sông Cầu Industrial Cluster will propose a plan to expand the cluster in the second phase, covering approximately 35ha to the east along National Road 27C.
It is known that Sông Cầu Industrial Cluster was inaugurated in 2020 with a scale of 40.36ha. Of which, the leased land area is nearly 28ha, divided into 27 lots and many utility services. At present, the infrastructure of Sông Cầu Industrial Cluster is basically completed and meets the standards, meeting the requirements of secondary investors.
According to the evaluation of the Management Board of Sông Cầu Industrial Cluster, in recent times, the fill rate of Sông Cầu Industrial Cluster has not met expectations.
In 2024, the Management Board of Sông Cầu Industrial Cluster has created conditions for secondary investors to implement their projects early and put them into operation. On July 16, the Management Board of Sông Cầu Industrial Cluster organized a meeting and awarded land lease contracts to 4 secondary investors with a total leased land area of nearly 8ha.
As a result, the total filled area of Sông Cầu Industrial Cluster has increased to over 13.5ha/28ha of leased land, achieving a fill rate of nearly 50% for the industrial cluster. The Management Board of Sông Cầu Industrial Cluster has accompanied and supported secondary investors in implementing procedures for investment project implementation. Among the 4 enterprises that recently leased land, 3 enterprises have been granted investment registration certificates and are currently in the process of applying for construction permits for their projects. It is expected that all 4 projects will break ground in the fourth quarter of 2024.
