On November 12, the People's Committee of Phuoc Thang Ward (HCMC) organized the compulsory land recovery for 15 cases in the area to implement the component project of 3 roads connecting Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway (also known as the main road of Vung Tau).
These are 15 cases located in project areas with reclaimed land, but after many petitions, the homeowners did not approve the handover of the site. Therefore, the authorities had to issue a decision and organize the implementation of enforcement, when the project had been implemented close to the land of these cases.
Of which, 5 cases have no houses to clear (only fences, stone foundations, temporary works, fruit trees, etc.); 10 cases have houses that must be cleared. At the time of the enforcement, there were 3 cases that had been completely dismantled, some cases had been partially dismantled... but all had not agreed to hand over the site.
The authorities have mobilized many workers, vehicles, and machinery to organize the demolition of solid construction works, prefabricated houses, etc., while ensuring safety in the area.
It is known that the Vung Tau main road project (from the Vung Tau - Binh Chau coastal road intersection DT 994 to the roundabout intersection of Road 51B-51C) is a key project, with a length of about 2.87 km, with a total investment of about 2,000 billion VND. It is a component project 3 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway connecting road, with a total length of about 16.6 km, with a total investment of more than 13,800 billion VND.
After completing the construction investment, the project will combine the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway to create a smooth traffic route from Bien Hoa to Vung Tau, and at the same time connect with the coastal route Vung Tau - Binh Chau... to create a complete traffic network. Thereby, developing urban areas along the route, creating investment attraction momentum to contribute to accelerating the socio-economic development of the eastern area of Ho Chi Minh City.
