On March 13, Mr. Chu Van Quang - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ky Loi commune (Ky Anh town) - said that the project to build resettlement infrastructure to meet the needs of relocation, compensation, support and resettlement for 220 households in Hai Phong 1 and Hai Phong 2 villages (phase 1) is invested by the People's Committee of Ky Anh town with a total investment of 70 billion VND.
The project will be built in Hung Tri ward and Ky Trinh ward, Ky Anh town with a land area of 5.1 hectares, including items: leveling, roads, drainage system, water supply system, power supply system, cultural house.
According to Mr. Chu Van Quang, currently Hai Phong 1 and Hai Phong 2 villages of Ky Loi commune (near Vung Ang port) have nearly 900 households with 2,700 people.
According to the Project on relocation and resettlement of households in Hai Phong 1 and Hai Phong 2 villages of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province, all households here will be relocated to new resettlement areas.

The project has pointed out that according to the Detailed Planning of the Vung Ang - Son Duong deep-water port area approved by the Ministry of Transport in 2012, the entire area of Hai Phong 1 and Hai Phong 2, Ky Loi commune is included in the planning.
In recent years, under the impact of nature, storms, floods, climate change, rising sea levels have caused serious coastal erosion in Hai Phong 1 and Hai Phong 2 villages of Ky Loi commune.
Therefore, it is necessary to develop a plan to relocate people from areas vulnerable to factors such as floods, landslides, and sea erosion.
"When the resettlement area is completed, relocation will be carried out. The 220 households relocated in phase 1 are households living close to the coast, affected by landslides, so priority is given to relocation first, Mr. Quang shared.
According to the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ky Loi commune, in the next phase, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province may approve investment in building other resettlement areas to continue relocating the remaining households in Hai Phong 1 and Hai Phong 2 villages.
