Alan Shearer does not believe Chelsea are capable of winning the Premier League

Legend Alan Shearer believes Liverpool will win the Premier League this year, despite Chelsea's excellent form under Enzo Maresca.

This season, Chelsea surprisingly rose to challenge for the Premier League title. Currently, coach Enzo Maresca and his team have 34 points after 16 matches. They also have the best attack in the league with 37 goals.

On the rankings, Chelsea is still two points behind Liverpool and two points ahead of Arsenal. However, legend Alan Shearer still does not rate highly the championship ability of The Blues.

Alan was quoted by Metro as saying: “Arne Slot has done a fantastic job at Liverpool. They are fantastic and have so many options in so many positions. What surprised me more was Man City and what happened to them. I still see Liverpool maintaining this form.

I don't think Chelsea will be able to keep their current position until the end of the season, although I could be wrong. I would go for Liverpool. They have a lot of options. They are strong in all positions."

Similar to Chelsea, Liverpool also changed coaches this season. Although he has just arrived at Anfield, coach Arne Slot has created a winning team. Remember, replacing a legend like Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool is not easy.

Former Everton manager David Moyes agrees with Alan Shearer. He believes Liverpool will win the title instead of Chelsea: “It’s hard for me to say but I have to say Liverpool. They have a clear target and can hurt other teams. Of course they will still face difficulties, no title race is smooth.”

In the next round, Chelsea will only have to face Everton, while Liverpool will have to face strong opponents Tottenham. If Arne Slot's team cannot win, The Blues can take advantage of this opportunity to temporarily take the top spot.
