Arsenal have dropped 5 points in their last two matches and failed to take advantage of Liverpool's advantage when they were held to a draw by Everton and Aston Villa this month. The failure to get three points at Forest came after Arteta's side had just one shot on target at the City Ground.
With 11 games from now until the end of the season, including a trip to Liverpool and a maximum of 33 points, Arteta said his team will not change their approach to the title race.
"Arsenal's goals are the same as a week ago, two weeks ago, three months ago. The only thing we can do is win our games and see how many points we get.
We dropped two points in this game and it was painful. We didn't feel happy that we were here to win. We have shown undeniable courage when we wanted and have tried our best.
Arsenal dominated the game. We have tried many different ways. We tried but lacked explosiveness, lacked a reasonable final pass to open the match, against a well-organized team. We had to create more shots on target, said Arteta.
Despite not scoring in the second consecutive match, Arteta said Arsenal's performance against Forest was better than the 1-0 loss to West Ham last round.
He said: "The standards of the players in this match are very different from the defeat to West Ham. We defend strongly, have a lot of energy, have a fighting spirit, and the will to aim for victory. We tried until the last minute but the result was not satisfactory.
