Facing Wolves, who have not won a match since the beginning of the season, Manchester United soon pushed up their formation and continuously put pressure on the home team's goal.
In the 25th minute, the opening goal came after an unbelievable wait for Wolves' defense. From Andre's loss of the ball, Matheus Cunha escaped, passed the ball across but accidentally hit Bruno Fernandes on the back. Despite the fall, the "number 8" still managed to regain balance, cover the ball and shot past goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, putting M.U ahead.
After the goal, the "Red Devils" suddenly slowed down and let Wolves take a strong stand. Although they have not scored any goals in the last 5 matches, against Man United's loose defense, the "Wolves" still managed to find an equalizer before the end of the first half.
In the 45+2 minute, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde fired a dangerous volley from 16.5 m, defeating Senne Lammens, bringing the match back to the starting line.
At the beginning of the second half, Man United quickly regained the lead in the 51st minute after a sharp counter-attack. Diogo Dalot left his mark with a pass just in time for Bryan Mbeumo to finish close to the goal, raising the score to 2-1. This was also the former Brentford star's 6th goal in the Premier League this season.
Mbeumo's shining moment helped Man United relieve pressure and play more freely. In the 63rd minute, Wolves' net rocketed again after a model combination between Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount.
The M.U captain made a pass to eliminate the entire home team's defense, allowing Mount to run in to finish with one touch, giving the goalkeeper no chance to block.
In the remainder of the match, the "Red Devils" played leisurely and scored the 4th goal in the 82nd minute. After Yerson Mosquera's handball in the box, Bruno Fernandes completed his double with a cool and dangerous 11m kick.
This victory helped M.U rise to 6th place with 25 points, equal with Chelsea and only 1 point behind 4th place Crystal Palace.
