Chelsea dropped the victory, Tottenham lost to Newcaste

NGUYỄN ĐĂNG |

Chelsea were held to a 1-1 draw by Crystal Palace at home, while Tottenham lost their first game of the season at Newcastle.

Welcoming Crystal Palace - the team that lost all 2 first rounds, Chelsea is very confident to win 3 points. Chelsea have won their last eight home games against Stamford Bridge.

After minutes of slow play, Chelsea started to accelerate with the mobility of midfielder Madueke - the player who scored 3 goals in the 6-2 victory over Wolves last round. The midfielder had two dangerous shots in the 22nd and 23rd minutes after a pass from Jackson and Enzo Fernandez.

The home team's good pressure was rewarded in the 25th minute and the initiator was Madueke. After a quick counter-attack, Madueke passed the ball conveniently to Cole Palmer so that the midfielder could cross for Nicolas Jackson to score. This was Cole Palmer's 4th assist in just 2 matches. At the end of the first half, Chelsea led Crystal Palace 1-0.

At the beginning of the second half, Chelsea created 2 good chances for Palmer and Colwill but could not increase the gap. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace rose up, scoring a valuable equalizer by Eze. In the 54th minute, this midfielder had the ball close to the penalty area, firing a dangerous shot that defeated goalkeeper Sanchez.

After this goal, the away team played much better and almost raised the score to 2-1, after Kamada's shot. On Chelsea's side, coach Enzo Maresca made a series of personnel adjustments but could not help the home team improve the game.

In the end, Chelsea drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace. With this result, Chelsea has 4 points/3 matches, while the away team has the first point of the season.

In the match at the same time, Newcastle led Tottenham in the first half, after Harvey Barnes scored. But in the second half, Tottenham created a breathless pressure, scoring an equalizer 1-1 after a cross from Dan Burn.

After this goal, Son Hueng-min and his teammates had many opportunities to score more goals but missed them all. In the 78th minute, Isak took advantage of a counter-attack, scoring the winning goal 2-1 for Newcastle.

After the first loss of this season, Tottenham have only 4 points. Meanwhile, Newcastle are still unbeaten and have 7 points/3 matches.
