This is the club that both former Indonesian coach and the captain of Vietnam, Kim Sang-Sik used to play.
The Seongnam Club announced: "We hired former coach Shin Tae-yong to be a non-permanent director. Mr. Shin Tae-yong will play the role of assistant and contribute to strengthening the management of the team."
Yonhap newspaper (South Korea) explained that Seongnam FC used to apply an office management system to supervise the club management operations without the position of General Director. However, this time, the team has created a new position as a "non -permanent director" as the club's homepage announced.

Coach Shin Tae-yong expressed: "Seongnam FC is a team that I cannot forget since I was a player until now. Looking at the club history, I did not think myself deserved to be the current position.
But based on my experience, I will do my best to help the Seongnam club and players can overcome the difficult period, promote and return to the inherent position. "
Coach Shin Tae-yong is considered the legend of the Seongnam club as a player. He played the attacking midfielder, scoring 76 goals in 295 matches in this team in the period 1992-2004.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kim Sang-Sik used to play in the center-back position, scoring 11 goals in 195 matches of Seongnam team in the period 1999-2008. The two used to work together in the Seongnam shirt in two K.League championships in 2001 and 2002, winning the Korean FA Cup 1999, League Cup 2002.
