Thomas Tuchel has turned down a chance to manage Manchester United due to conflicts over the club's transfer policy.
The German coach met with Sir Jim Ratcliffe to discuss the prospect of taking the "hot seat" at Old Trafford. At that time, Man United were conducting an assessment and had not yet made a decision on Erik ten Hag's future. Tuchel also previously parted ways with Bayern Munich after the 2023-2024 season and is not currently a coach.
However, the former Chelsea coach has left himself out of the competition. The 51-year-old strategist does not seem to be satisfied with what he will be offered when he returns to the Premier League.
Despite winning the FA Cup last season, 8th place in the Premier League still leaves many concerns around the "Red Devils" squad. Tuchel understands that Ratcliffe plans to change the senior personnel structure when Man United appointed CEO Omar Berrada, sporting director Dan Ashworth and technical director Jason Wilcox.
