Entering the match with high determination, Arsenal controlled the ball better for most of the time, but Man United was the team that opened the score.
In the last minute of injury time, Bruno Fernandes took an excellent free kick from outside the penalty area, the ball flew straight into the top corner of the goal, making it impossible for goalkeeper David Raya to block. This shot helped Man United lead 1-0 when entering the break.
Entering the second half, Arsenal increased the pressure to find an equalizer. The visitors had many opportunities, but Man United goalkeeper Andre Onana had an excellent day when he denied the shots of Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Martinelli.
It was not until the 74th minute that Arsenal scored a valuable goal. Declan Rice with a beautiful long-range shot from outside the penalty area hit the post and flew into the net, equalizing 1-1 for the away team.
At the end of the match, both teams created good opportunities but failed to take advantage. Man United's Rasmus Hojlund failed to capitalise on his penalty in the 87th minute, while Gabriel Martinelli almost brought Arsenal a win in stoppage time, but Onana once again made an excellent save.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw, a result that almost made Arsenal lose hope in the championship race with 55 points, 15 points behind the leader Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Man United with 34 points temporarily ranked 14th.
