On June 11, Trent Alexander-Arnold officially made his Real Madrid debut after signing a 6-year contract with Los Blancos. He was honored to be introduced to the media by president Florentino Perez. The English star will wear the number 12 shirt at his new club, instead of the 66 as at Liverpool. Not only that, the name printed on the back of the shirt has been replaced by "Alexander-Arnold" with "Trent".
Speaking in Spanish, Trent thanked him very much for this honor. He said: "Thank you to the president and the club for giving me this honor. signing for Real Madrid is not something that happens every day, it is a dream and it has finally come true.
I am very happy and proud to be here. I really hope to play soon, show my own playing style to please the fans, the Madridistas. I know this is a huge responsibility but I am always ready to give my all to the club.
When fans look at the way I play, win many titles and make progress, they can see why I have become one of the best players in the world."

In his first speech, Trent Alexander-Arnold spoke in Spanish, although he shared that he had only studied for a few months, the 26-year-old defender did not forget to explain why the name change was printed on the back of the jersey.
"Many people call me Arnold, some call me Alexander, some just call me Alex, or some call me Trent. There was a lot of things that happened when fans called my name.
So I think let's make it simple, easy to approach. The word Trent on the back of my shirt is my name. So, from now on, I guess people will call me that" - Trent shared.
Trent was then asked about Jude Bellingham, a close teammate of the England team. Many people thought this was a trick from Real Madrid to increase attraction on the day the team got Trent. However, the 26-year-old defender himself denied it.
"We talked to each other, things were not what people thought. Both he and I talk a lot about Liverpool and Real Madrid. Every time he joins the national team, Bellingham often says how wonderful he is at Real Madrid.
Therefore, many people think he has a big role in my move to Real Madrid. However, not necessarily so, Real Madrid is the one with great appeal that makes me eager to join. This is a great opportunity for me in my career and at the right time" - Trent shared.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is Real Madrid's second signing this summer, preceded by Dean Huijsen, another star who also came from the Premier League and played for Bournemouth.
