Football review Chelsea vs Brighton, round 6 Premier League

Chi Trần |

Predict the score of the match Chelsea vs Brighton in round 6 of the Premier League, taking place at 9:00 p.m. on September 28.

Since a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Crystal Palace, Chelsea have won their last three games in all competitions by an aggregate score of 9-0.

In their most recent game, despite manager Enzo Maresca making 11 changes to his team, they still won 5-0 against Barrow in the third round of the English League Cup. Interestingly, no Premier League team has accumulated more points than Chelsea (25) since the start of May. That consistency has helped them sit fifth in the table, just three points behind champions Manchester City.

Chelsea have won all three of their away games this season, but are yet to win at Stamford Bridge. The Blues have also won just one of their last four home games against Brighton in the Premier League.

The Seagulls will certainly pose a big challenge, as they are still one of four Premier League teams still unbeaten after five games this season.

Manager Fabian Hurzeler will not be in the dugout when Brighton visit west London, having been charged by the FA for misconduct during last weekend's game against Nottingham Forest. Assistant manager Andrew Crofts will take charge of the Seagulls at Stamford Bridge.

Brighton have some good strikers who could cause Chelsea problems, but the West Londoners are also full of confidence after three clean sheets in a row, and the Blues are also under pressure as they look for their first home win of the 2024-25 season.

Expected lineup

Chelsea: Sanchez; Gusto, Fofana, Colwill, Cucurella; Fernandez, Caicedo; Madueke, Palmer, Sancho; Jackson

Brighton: Verbruggen; Veltman, Dunk, Van Hecke, Estupinan; Hinshelwood, Baleba; Minteh, Rutter, Mitoma; Welbeck
