Man United had a dramatic comeback win over bottom team Southampton in midweek, where Amad Diallo shone with a hat-trick.
The result was enough to move United up to 12th in the Premier League table. If they beat Brighton, the Red Devils will have won three games in a row for the first time since coach Ruben Amorim took charge.
The last time they won three games in a row was in February 2024. Although the team's performances against Liverpool and Arsenal were very positive, the problem in defense is not reassuring. Amorim's army has not been able to keep a clean sheet in 11 consecutive matches.
On the other side, Brighton have also been inconsistent. They have just had their first win after an eight-match winless streak in the Premier League, including six draws. However, a 4-0 win over Norwich City in the FA Cup has been a catalyst to help Fabian Hurzeler and his team regain their confidence.
The Seagulls remain in the top half of the table, four points behind Manchester City in sixth. They travel to Old Trafford on the back of a five-match unbeaten run in the Premier League.
Brighton have also had good results against the Red Devils in the past. Earlier this season, they beat Erik ten Hag's Man United 2-1 in August. That was also their fifth win in their last seven games against Man United, including wins at Old Trafford in 2022-23 and 2023-24.
