Football prediction France vs Israel in Nations League

Football commentary on the France - Israel match in the Nations League 2024-2025 season.

Overview

Having to compete in League A of the Nations League seems like an impossible task for the Israeli team.

They were drawn into a group with three "big guys", including Italy, France and Belgium. Therefore, it is understandable that Israel lost all four of their first matches. If they receive just one more defeat, they will have to compete in League B next season.

For the French team, they entered the last two matches of the 2024-2025 Nations League group stage without the service of captain Kylian Mbappe. This was a decision made by coach Didier Deschamps after having an exchange with the superstar born in 1998.

The Real Madrid striker is said to have fallen out with Deschamps. It is even possible that Mbappe will not play for the national team if Deschamps remains in charge.

However, even without Mbappe, Les Bleus are still considered to be much superior to Israel. Their squad still has stars spread across all three lines. Also in the absence of Mbappe, the French team defeated Israel 4-1 in the first leg.

France are currently in a fierce competition with Italy for the top spot in Group 2 of League A. Before thinking about the direct confrontation on November 18, Les Bleus will have to win 3 points against Israel. This is not too difficult a task for coach Deschamps' team.

Apart from last month's match, the last time the two teams met was in 2005 (in the 2006 World Cup qualifiers). Both matches then ended in draws.

Human resources situation

While Mbappe is the most notable absentee for France, they are also missing three other key players: Aurelien Tchouameni, Loic Bade and Wesley Fofana.

On the other side of the front line, the away team almost has the strongest lineup, except for goalkeeper Omri Glazer.

Expected lineup:

France: Maignan, Kounde, Konate, Saliba, Hernandez, Camavinga, Kante, Dembele, Olise, Barcola, Kolo Muani.

Israel: Peretz, Dasa, Feingold, Nachimas, Abada, Kanichowsky, Fani, Haziza, Gandelman, Baribo, Gloukh.

The match between France and Israel takes place at 2:45 a.m. on November 15 (Vietnam time).
