Rasmus Hojlund is almost certain that he will no longer have a chance to return to Manchester United after sharing about his future plans in Italy. The Danish striker left Old Trafford in the summer of 2025, joining Napoli on loan for one season in Serie A.
The reigning Serie A champions have paid a loan of 6 million Euros to Hojlund, and have the option to sign an official contract for 44 million Euros. This clause will become mandatory if coach Antonio Conte's team wins a place in the Champions League. And it seems that Hojlund will continue to be with Napoli very likely.
Speaking after scoring twice to help Napoli win 2-1 against Juventus last weekend, Hojlund frankly shared: " next season, I will answer interviews in Italian".

The 22-year-old joined Man United from Atalanta in 2023 for a fee of £64 million. He scored 16 goals in his debut season, but the following season he only scored 10 more goals before being signed on loan by Napoli.
This season, the Danish striker has scored 6 goals for Napoli in all competitions. Talking about his recent form, Hojlund shared: "Sometimes, as a striker, you can't score, but I always try to contribute to the team in many different ways.
I understand the importance of controlling the ball, speeding up the game, while trying to press and maintain team cohesion. I scored two goals tonight, but all of them were thanks to the coordination of my teammates, the coaches and the coaching staff."
After scoring, Hojlund celebrated with Conte's coaching staff and stressed that it was their instructions on the training ground that helped him maintain good form.
"Gianluca and the coaching staff have shown me a lot about how to move in the box. I often move towards the post, but they emphasize that there is still space ahead. I attack more up front and that works, so I'm happy," said the former Man United striker.

Meanwhile, Napoli captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo praised Hojlund for his impressive performance: "It's a great thing that we had a really excellent performance tonight, with a high tempo and open play. These are the qualities of the team, and I am very satisfied with Rasmus Hojlund.
He scored two goals today, and has always helped us in every game. In difficult times, we have reacted strongly. It's a sign of great team spirit."
Hojlund will aim to maintain his impressive form when Napoli visit Benfica in the Champions League. After that, they will return to Serie A to face Udinese.
