Real Madrid is said to be interested in recruiting Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold in the 2024 summer transfer window. The 25-year-old has so far spent his entire career at Anfield and has blossomed into a star. Previously, Los Blancos had repeatedly offered to invite the English international but it never came to fruition.
With Alexander-Arnold entering the final year of his contract with Liverpool, it is no surprise that Real Madrid has shown renewed interest. However, The Kop fans were surprised when Alexander-Arnold was also said to be interested in moving to the Spanish capital.
According to BILD, Real Madrid's interest in Alexander-Arnold is "clear" and the English player is also open to the possibility of moving to the royal team.
Liverpool and new coach Arne Slot want to keep Alexander-Arnold for as long as possible. However, if they cannot renew, they could completely lose the 25-year-old player next summer.
Up to now, Alexander-Arnold has made 310 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 19 goals in all competitions. At Anfield, the England international won titles such as the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
Alexander-Arnold also has 29 caps for the national team and participated in the "Three Lions" squad for the recent EURO 2024. The player started the first two group stage matches as a central midfielder, although he regularly plays the right-back role at the club.
The performance of the Liverpool star was not very impressive. He did not play in the final when England lost to Spain.
