Real Madrid will sell Vinicius for 300 million euros?

Former Real Madrid scout Manolo Romero believes President Perez prioritizes Mbappe, so Vinicius could be pushed away when the price is right.

Currently, Vinicius' contract with Real Madrid is only until 2027. Therefore, the summer of 2025 will be the time when the two sides sit down and consider extending the contract. Along with that, transfer rumors of the Brazilian striker have also begun to appear.

According to former scout Manolo Romero - who worked for Real Madrid for 20 years - Vinicius could still be sold. He was quoted by SPORT: "I believe he has the ability to leave. If a team is willing to pay more than 300 million euros, I think President Florentino will sell him. He will even take him to the airport in his own car."

Vinicius's role is in doubt, especially with the emergence of Kylian Mbappe. This season, the French striker is gradually competing with the Brazilian star for influence in the dressing room. Currently, both have scored 13 goals in all competitions for Real Madrid.

Manolo believes Real Madrid are pampering Mbappe more: “300 million euros is a huge amount of money and a challenge for any team. But I think Florentino Perez is pampering Mbappe more. He has been chasing him for 7 years.”

Besides Vinicius, another Brazilian at Real Madrid who is also struggling is Rodrygo. He has been overshadowed by the appearance of Bellingham and Mbappe, leading to more reserve time.

Manola continued: “They might sell Rodrygo, but to be honest, I don’t know if Rodrygo is really worth much, seeing him this season. It’s been an inconsistent form. Although in the past, he has had some magical minutes against Man City.

If Bale, Cristiano and Benzema were here today, Vinicius and Rodrygo would be on the bench. I think only Mbappe at his peak could get in there.”
