PSG's reward after eliminating Liverpool is to face Aston Villa. The winning team will meet Arsenal or Madrid in the semi-finals.
The exclusion of Brugge, PSV, Benfica and Feyenoord means that the tournament will only have representatives from the top 5 European national championships. No team other than England, Spain, Germany, Italy or France have reached the Champions League final since Porto were led by Jose Mourinho in 2004.
The first leg of the quarter-finals will take place on April 8-9 and the return matches will take place on April 15-16.
Each quarterfinal team will receive 12.5 million euros (13.6 million USD). The semi-finalists will be paid an additional 15 million euros ($16.3 million).
