On the afternoon of August 6, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the closing ceremony of the Training Program for supervising referees and referees of national professional football tournaments 2025-2026 took place.

In his closing speech, Mr. Dang Thanh Ha - Head of the VFF Referee Board said: "The training program includes physical testing, updating competition rules, and drawing experience from the previous season. This training session has 65 referees and 15 referees supervisors. As a result, there were 7 cases that did not meet FIFA's physical standards.
The Referees' Association and lecturers also updated the latest football rules for the 2025-2026 season. In the field exercises on the field, the VFF Referee Board also selected situations for members to discuss and practice skills...".

Speaking to direct and assign tasks to referees and supervisors, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan emphasized: The next season is expected to be very tense with high competition. Referees must be very serious and prepare carefully. fitness needs to be guaranteed, regularly listening to the body for prevention.
Regular practice, scientific and professional activities are extremely necessary for referees. VFF, VPF and the Organizing Committee of the professional tournament will regularly conduct periodic inspections to limit the risks to referees.
In addition, I hope the referees will learn from experience, avoid repeating the mistakes of the previous season; promote their abilities and professionalism in the following matches. Referee supervisors must be exemplary in their daily activities, discipline in their expertise, and ensure quality in match management".

In addition, the closing ceremony of the training session also gave the late referee Tran Dinh Thinh a minute of silence. Previously, on the morning of August 3, at a physical test as part of the training program, Mr. Tran Dinh Thinh suddenly had a health problem and had to be rushed to the hospital.
Although doctors and medical staff have made efforts and devoted themselves to treatment, an unexpected thing happened, referee Tran Dinh Thinh passed away at the age of 43.
It is a pity that we have lost a talented friend, colleague of VFF and the referee team, said VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan.
