According to information from the team's doctors, Bui Hoang Viet Anh suffered a knee cruciate ligament injury after playing for Hanoi Police in the match against Buriram at the 2024 Southeast Asian Club Championship.
With this injury, Bui Hoang Viet Anh needs time to recover, so he was forced to miss the appointment with his teammates in this training session of the Vietnam national team. Bui Hoang Viet Anh is also the second player who cannot join the national team due to injury. Before that, there was the case of striker Nguyen Van Toan's ankle injury and was replaced by Phan Van Duc.
To ensure the strength of the team, coach Kim Sang-sik has called up additional players to the youth defender team of Giap Tuan Duong.
