On November 12, President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Tran Quoc Tuan visited and encouraged the entire Vietnam team before entering the match against Laos in the second leg of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.
This is the first time since the team gathered that the players have received direct encouragement from the head of VFF, which is considered a spiritual boost before the important away trip.

During the meeting, Chairman Tran Quoc Tuan acknowledged the efforts and professionalism of the entire team after a period of intense competition in the V.League. He especially praised the players for their physical and grooming maintenance, and sent his congratulations to Nguyen Xuan Son - who has just returned to the national team after nearly a year of injury treatment.
Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan emphasized that the whole team needs to maintain the highest concentration and determination in the remaining journey, because each match is a key meaning in winning a ticket to the 2027 Asian Cup finals and improving their position on the FIFA rankings.

The VFF President also reviewed the impressive achievements of Vietnamese football in 2025, when 5 national teams have qualified for the Asian finals, and expressed his belief that the men's team will continue that series of successes.
He affirmed that the efforts of coach Kim Sang-sik and his team not only have the meaning of achievements but also contribute to raising the image and brand of Vietnamese football in the international arena.
In response, coach Kim Sang-sik, on behalf of the coaching staff, thanked the VFF leaders, and said: "The upcoming match against Laos is the last match in 2025, we will try our best to bring complete joy to the fans".

Captain Do Duy Manh also expressed the determination of the whole team: "Each player, regardless of their role and responsibility, has the same goal: to build a united team, overcome difficulties and respond to the trust of fans".
On the same afternoon, the Vietnam team continued to practice tactics at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho) to prepare for the flight to Laos on November 15.
