While participating in the ASEAN Cup 2024 with the Vietnamese team, defender Ho Tan Tai suffered a ligament injury.
He has completed the surgery and is expected to be out of action for 9 months. This means that Tan Tai will not be able to participate in the remainder of the 2024-2025 V.League with Binh Duong club.
Talking about this absence, coach Nguyen Cong Manh of Binh Duong team said: "Tan Tai is an important player of Binh Duong, in good form. It is unfortunate that Tai is injured and out for a long time, but the team still has many replacement options such as Tung Quoc and Thanh Nhan. Everyone will try to fill the vacant position".
Coach Nguyen Cong Manh has just taken over the "hot seat" of Binh Duong club for about 1 month. In his first match in charge, Mr. Manh and Binh Duong defeated Nam Dinh in the 1/8 round of the 2024-2025 National Cup.
Despite a favorable start, coach Nguyen Cong Manh admitted that he still felt pressure when leading Binh Duong.
"I think it's not true to say there's no pressure, it's not like what people think. I know I have the support of the players and the management.
Winning Nam Dinh was only in a cup match, the main goal is still V.League. But it is a good start for the team after a bad period. The team's goal in the National Cup is to reach the final match. V.League is calculated match by match because the tournament is very fierce.
In a short time, it is very difficult to change something too big. I have only been in charge for a month. I have a different approach, depending on each opponent, I will have a different approach. I build a more solid defense, not to lose easily," coach Nguyen Cong Manh affirmed.
Mr. Manh also informed that Binh Duong is testing several foreign players; the team will announce when there is official information.
In round 10 of V.League 2024-2025, Binh Duong will host Binh Dinh. The match takes place at 6:00 p.m. tonight (January 17).
