From October 3 to October 7, the Hanoi International Women's Football Tournament - T&T Group Cup 2024 will take place at Hang Day Stadium.
The tournament was organized by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with the Hanoi Football Federation and other units, as part of a series of activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).
The tournament has 4 participating teams: Manila Digger FC (Philippines), Beijing FC (China), Hanoi and Thai Nguyen T&T.
Notably, at the Hanoi International Women's Football Tournament - T&T Group Cup 2024, Miss Vietnam 2016 Do My Linh is the image ambassador, contributing to spreading the positivity and meaning of the tournament.
Miss My Linh shared: "I am very happy to accompany the Hanoi International Women's Football Tournament - T&T Group Cup 2024 as the tournament's image ambassador. The organizing committee has made thoughtful and thorough preparations.
In addition to the match schedule, there are many sideline activities such as taking international and Vietnamese players to visit scenic spots, as well as typical dishes of Hanoi people.
I find this a very meaningful activity because we not only exchange sports but also have cultural exchanges, to promote the image of Hanoi women and many typical cultural features of Hanoi to international friends.
Hopefully, through these accompanying activities, the image of friendly, sociable and hospitable Vietnamese people will become closer to international friends, and at the same time be a beautiful memory for international players when participating in this year's tournament."
Accordingly, on the morning of October 2, Miss Do My Linh, along with the coaching staff and players of M4 football team, visited Hoan Kiem Lake, The Huc Bridge, Ngoc Son Temple; offered incense at the Ho Chi Minh Museum and Uncle Ho's Mausoleum.
Miss Do My Linh said: "I talked and exchanged with friends from China and the Philippines. This is one of the rare times they have come to Vietnam to visit so many places. They shared that the previous times they came to Vietnam were only to compete, so they did not have time to visit and learn about the country and people of Vietnam like this time. Such meaningful activities are a highlight of this year's tournament.
Especially, when the tournament is held very close to the 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, I think you can also partly feel the national pride of the Vietnamese people."
