Nam Dinh FC announces new head coach

New coach Mauro will officially lead Nam Dinh club since the 1/8 round of the National Cup.

On November 14, Nam Dinh Steel Club officially announced new head coach Mauro Jeronimo. The appointment decision was presented to the Portuguese coach by CEO Vu Hong Viet right at Thien Truong Stadium.

Speaking at the launch, coach Mauro Jeronimo expressed his pride in leading the reigning V.League champions. He assessed this as a high-quality, well-invested team and possessing many capable players, and affirmed that he will join the whole team in competing with the highest determination to conquer big goals.

"This year's tournament, Nam Dinh will participate in 4 arenas, both international and domestic. That is both a challenge and an honor. Not many teams in Vietnam have such opportunities," said Mr. Mauro.

Coach Mauro will have his first match as captain on November 23 when Nam Dinh Steel Blue welcomes Long An in the 1/8 round of the 2025-2026 National Cup. This is considered an important opportunity for him to experiment with playing style, evaluate personnel and make an initial impression on the coaching bench.

In parallel with the addition of a new head coach, Nam Dinh club also has a completely new personnel system to operate more effectively.

Accordingly, Mr. Vu Hong Viet will hold the role of General Director of the company and Executive Director of the club; the Deputy Directors include Mr. Nguyen Quoc Phong and Mr. Lam Van Thoa; while Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien will take on the position of Technical Director.

The appearance of coach Mauro Jeronimo and new arrangements in the leadership is expected to breathe new life, helping Nam Dinh make a breakthrough in the coming time.
