2024 is considered a successful year in the international field for Vietnam's international supervisors and referees (male and female), when they are trusted by FIFA, AFC, AFF to perform duties in many official tournaments such as: 2026 World Cup qualifiers - Group E; world futsal championship, final round of Asian U17 and U20 women's tournament...
This is the result of the efforts to improve the quality of referee training by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), as well as the efforts of each referee.
In addition, VFF has sent many referees and supervisors to attend FIFA and AFC training courses such as: AFC Referee Academy Course 4 and 5; FIFA Referee Instructor Course; AFC Senior Female Referee Workshop; AFC Senior Male Referee Workshop.
For national professional football tournaments, 2024 is the second year of competition under the new time frame (from the previous year to the next year), therefore, VFF and VPF Company have organized training for supervisors and referees to prepare for the 2024-2025 season to review the force, at the same time discuss and draw experience in the operation to improve in the new season.
During the training program, the VFF Referee Board organized tests and assessments on physical and theoretical preparation, and agreed on the content of handling match situations and refereeing methods.
Regarding training, currently, matches and tournaments at national football tournaments are increasing in number and quality of participating teams. In addition, grassroots football tournaments in localities are also developing in scale.
Therefore, the Referee Board continues to implement training plans, support and coordinate with local referee units and organizations to promote extensive referee training, to disseminate the Football Competition Law to localities, helping localities have more referees to serve grassroots tournaments, thereby selecting potential students to continue to improve and supplement the national referee team...
