On January 17, Hanoi City held a ceremony to commend and reward Hanoi athletes who achieved excellent results at the 2024 Southeast Asian Football Championship - ASEAN Cup to honor the efforts and contributions of Hanoi club players and Hanoi Police.
At the ASEAN Cup 2024, Hanoi city has 10 players participating: Duy Manh, Thanh Chung, Hai Long, Xuan Manh, Tuan Hai (Hanoi FC) and Quang Hai, Van Thanh, Filip Nguyen, Thanh Long, Viet Anh (Hanoi Police).
The Hanoi People's Committee awarded each Hanoi player 50 million VND. Previously, Hanoi also gave a surprise bonus of 2 billion VND to members of the Vietnam national team.
Also at the commendation and reward ceremony, T&T Group and SHB Bank announced a bonus of up to 4.4 billion VND for 10 players of Hanoi Club and Hanoi Police.
The 7 players are Duy Manh, Thanh Chung, Hai Long, Xuan Manh, Tuan Hai, Quang Hai, Van Thanh - each received a bonus of 500 million VND. The remaining 3 players are Filip Nguyen, Thanh Long, Viet Anh - each received a bonus of 300 million VND.
Thus, along with the 2 billion VND awarded by SHB Bank to the Vietnamese team at the award ceremony at VFF right after winning the 2024 ASEAN Cup, Mr. Hien awarded a total of 6.4 billion VND to coach Kim Sang-Sik and his team.
Besides, in the second leg of the ASEAN Cup final, Mr. Hien also organized to bring 600 fans and players' families on private planes to Bangkok to cheer on the Vietnamese team.
