On the afternoon of May 7, the Vietnam women's futsal team won 5-3 against Hong Kong (China) in the opening match of the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship.
Speaking after the match, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang expressed his satisfaction with the efforts of the whole team.
He said: "Today's match was really difficult for us. As you know, the first match is always a challenge. The coaching staff and I are satisfied with their efforts.
The efforts of the whole team have been well rewarded. Although there are many areas to improve, we thank you for your efforts.
Sharing about the time when Hong Kong (China) equalized 3-3, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang said: In fact, the Vietnamese women's futsal team did not have the best rhythm at the beginning of each half.
After the draw, we reminded the players to stay focused and improve their tactics to deal with the situation on the pitch.
Despite winning 3 points, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang still believes that the team needs to improve more in the following matches.
He said: "After this match, the coaching staff will review the video to analyze and adjust. It can be seen that we did not start the match well, and focusing at key moments is still a problem that needs to be overcome.
With the opening victory, the Vietnam women's futsal team still has a lot of work to do to aim for a higher goal in this tournament.
