On the afternoon of December 3, the Vietnamese team returned home after finishing their training session in Korea. From Hanoi, coach Kim Sang-sik and his team traveled to Viet Tri city, Phu Tho province - the venue for the team's two group stage matches in the 2024 AFF Cup (new name is ASEAN Cup).
Despite having just experienced a 4-hour flight, the whole team was quite comfortable and ready to enter the first training sessions in Viet Tri.

During the recently concluded training session in Korea, the team achieved useful professional results, especially after 3 matches with K.League teams Ulsan Citizen, Deagu and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC.
“I see that the players’ skills are getting better and better, and the team’s tactics and techniques have also improved a lot. Vietnamese players have a very strong passion for football as well as strong will and motivation. I am satisfied with that,” Mr. Kim shared.
In the coming days, along with the 30 players in the preliminary list previously called up, the Korean strategist will welcome 3 more players from Nam Dinh club. This team will complete the matches in the AFC Champions League Two group stage in Thailand tomorrow, December 4.
The three added names are defender Nguyen Van Vi, striker Nguyen Xuan Son and striker Nguyen Van Toan.
According to the plan, the Vietnamese team will practice in Viet Tri until December 6 and then go to Laos to prepare for the opening match in Group B on December 9. After this match, coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will return to Phu Tho to prepare for the match against the Indonesian team at 8:00 p.m. on December 15.
